I noticed that this once abandoned building had occupants and that pleased me whenever I passed by. My assumption was that it was residential.   I became intrigued when I saw an art show advertised on that street. It wasn’t until I looked at a map that i saw it was THAT building. Located at 305 Knowlton Street in Bridgeport,t CT, are artist studios named “305 Knowlton”, part of the Bridgeport Art Trail.

Edible Research

Recently I had a chance to taste a delicate seven layer cake topped with butter cream frosting named Vinarterta from Iceland. The baker boasts a handed down family recipe and that you won’t taste finer anywhere. It isn’t overly sweet, but has a rich denseness that shouts special. After a moist mouthful, I don’t doubt her claim.

Uncommon Performance

I found that matching an acrobatic performance by Cirque Mechanique with the New Haven Symphony Orchestra insightful because they play off of each other’s energy. The harmony of their creativity produced magic greater than the sum of its parts at the Arts and Ideas Festival in New Haven, CT.
