When I travel, I love exploring the local cuisine.  I spotted that Dunya served many Iraqi style dishes and people were raving about their food on places like Yelp.  Just a short ride from downtown Waterbury, CT took me halfway around the world.

It's a hybrid supermarket/restaurant with an amazing menu.  I had a yearning for falafel, which is a savory chick pea patty which was served over salad.  Topped off with a Turkish coffee and a pistachio baklava brought back memories of my past travels to the Middle East.

For the hour or so I spent there I felt I was swept away and I look forward to returning to this foodie paradise.

What's your favorite way to think about past and future travel?.
